Winner of the Special Prize of the Jury at the Torino Film Festival 2010, the film Il popolo che manca [The missing people], and the series of documentaries of the same name by Andrea Fenoglio and Diego Mometti, give shape to a dialogue among several voices, in the search for traces of the rural world. The exhibition collects unpublished footage shoot by the two authors during their five years’ research to produce the documentaries, starting from the interviews conducted in the 1970s by the writer Nuto Revelli, in rural and mountainous areas of the Province of Cuneo, the foundation for his books Il mondo dei vinti and L’anello forte. In an unusual spatial conception, the show explores places and stories of the protagonists of the time and those of today as part of an itinerant exhibition project in collaboration with the Nuto Revelli Foundation.
