Foreveryoung is the project conceived of by Simona Denicolai & Ivo Provoost in Carmagnola, a municipality of 25,000 inhabitants in the vicinity of Turin which, in the second half of the 20th Century, was home to an important industrial district. Undertaken between 2005 and 2006, it took part in two phases, characterised by activities designed for the young generations. The first is Teksid / acid, a vinyl disk in which the sounds of daily life in Carmagnola are captured and mixed with extracts of texts taken from the Teksid facility union archive, made available by the Associazione InFondere. The second is a software containing an archive of in-progress images, in which the urban environment is reinterpreted and observed as an “elastic space” that can be reorganised using other photographs taken by the two artists during their travels around Europe.
